About Rafiki Relief

A youth-led movement bringing health, hope, and opportunity to underserved communities across Africa.

Our Story

Rafiki Relief volunteers

Rafiki Relief began as an Eagle Scout project with a simple but powerful vision: to address medical negligence in schools and ensure every child has access to basic healthcare.

What started as a local initiative in Texas quickly grew into a cross-continental movement, connecting passionate youth leaders in the United States with communities in Kenya.

Our founder's personal connection to Kenya and witnessing the healthcare disparities firsthand inspired the creation of Rafiki Relief—"Rafiki" meaning "friend" in Swahili.
